2015 Summer Pilot Parking Projects

On-Street 2-Hour Parking Enforcement
In the summer of 2015, the city of Wayzata continued efforts to improve parking in the downtown business district wtih the implementation of several pilot projects to help with peak parking demand.
On June 1, 2015, the city began enforcing 2-hour on-street parking in downtown Wayzata (see map) to encourage turnover in high demand parking areas. Parking enforcement occurs between 6 am – 6 pm; 7 days a week. Tickets were issued for 2-hour on-street parking violations in the following locations:
o          Lake Street between Superior Blvd. and Walker Avenue (both sides).
o          Broadway Avenue from Lake Street to Rice Street
o          Walker Avenue from Lake Street to Ramp entrance
o          West City Lot (south of Lake St/west of COV)

Other pilot projects conducted in the summer of 2015:
•  Directing downtown employee parking to specific lots
•  The addition of public valet to service all businesses in the central area downtown
