Wayzata Parks and Trails Master Plan-- We need your input!

Wayzata’s Parks and Trails Board has been working on a Master Plan for the City’s Parks and Trails to guide future changes and improvements. With the help of Confluence, the consultant the City has hired to assist with the Master Plan, ideas have been sketched out for each of our parks. These sketches were prepared based on thoughts on local, regional, and national innovations and trends from other communities, along with input the community has provided through surveys online, at community events such as James J. Hill Days and the Wayzata Art Experience, and importantly in consideration of the City’s Wayzata 2040 Community Vision project.

Input, feedback, and comments on these sketches is important to the Master Planning process. This input can be provided in a couple ways:

  1. Three neighborhood meetings are scheduled at Wayzata City Hall for late July and early-August. Staff is still working to finalize the specific dates so, check back on the City website or follow the City on social media for updates.
  2. A survey is available online at
