Public Works

Mill Street Parking Structure

Adolfson & Peterson (A&P) and their subcontractors continue work on the Mill Street Parking Structure project. The installation of the retaining wall, along the east and north side of the ramp continues. The contractor is currently “drilling and dropping” large steel posts along the north side of the site, which provide the structure of the wall. This “drilling and dropping” process should be nearing completion so, the contractor will begin the process of removing the soil, working platform. The installation of a formwork between these posts, which supports both tie-backs and the concrete fascia also continues. As this formwork is installed, the contractor will begin excavating the hillside away from the wall. This work is anticipated to continue through February. Because of the space required to perform this work (equipment, materials, and soil), A&P will be stopping the installation of footings and columns along the south edge of the ramp, until mid-February.

Installation of the wood lagging and tiebacks along the north side of the site.
