Public Works

Mill Street Parking Structure

Adolfson & Peterson (A&P) and their subcontractors continue work on the Mill Street Parking Structure project.  The installation of the retaining wall, along the east, north, and west sides of the ramp continues.  The installation of formwork between these posts, which supports both tie-backs and the concrete fascia is nearing completion.  A&P has now begun the installation of the waterproofing and formwork for the concrete fascia of the retaining wall, beginning on the northeast corner of the site.  Additionally, A&P is installing footings and columns along both the center and north edge of the site. The first deck pour is scheduled for mid-March.

Installation of the wood lagging and waterproofing along the north side of the site (2-23-17).

2017 Pond Maintenance Project – Glenbrook Ponding Area

Meyer Contracting, Inc. has been hired by the City of Wayzata to perform the 2017 Glenbrook Pond Maintenance project.  The project proposes to remove accumulated sediment from the storm water basins, known locally as the Glenbrook Ponds.  The ponds were originally constructed in 1993-94 by the City of Wayzata and the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District (MCWD) and are located between Wayzata Blvd and Highway 12.  Because of the warmer temperatures and the early onset of seasonal road restrictions, the contractor will not be starting this work until April, at the earliest.

Klapprich Skating Rink

The Klapprich Park skating rink has been closed for the season.
