Night to Unite

August 1, 2017

Neighborhoods throughout the Wayzata area have been gathering to celebrate Night to Unite for more than 30 years.

The day starts with the Night to Unite luncheon at the Wayzata Country Club. You'll get to hear highlights of some of the most significant, and sometimes bizarre, cases investigated within the last year. Wayzata Crime Prevention Coalition will also present the Jim Fish Award.

Register for the lunch by July 28 at http://wayzatachamber.chambermaster.com/events/details/night-to-unite-kickoff-luncheon-08-01-2017-2947.

Then neighbors and friends will gather and get to know one another, play some games with the kids, enjoy a few hot-off-the-grill favorites, and encourage crime prevention. Neighborhoods will be visited by representatives from the Police and Fire Departments, as well as elected officials, city staff, and McGruff the Crime Fighting Dog for community building.

Because of the warmer temperatures and the early onset of seasonal road restrictions, the contractor has not yet started this work.  Staff is awaiting an updated schedule.
