The Wayzata Parks and Trails Board is excited to present the preliminary concept designs for new playground equipment and surfacing at Wayzata Beach. They are now available for review and comments. The Parks and Trails Board is proposing to replace the almost 15-year old playground, as it has reached its useful life, and should be replaced for improved safety. The new playground will be ADA accessible and qualifies as a Play On! National Demonstration Site for implementing research-based best practices for promoting physical activity through active play.
The City has $330,000 allocated for the project in its Capital Improvement Fund.
