1st Annual Candy Cane Medallion Hunt - Light Up the Lake

THE MEDALLION WAS FOUND ON 11/24 JUST AFTER 9:00 AM!
NEW! This year, as a part of the Light Up the Lake Celebration, children 6-12 years old are invited to participate in the 1st Annual Candy Cane Medallion Hunt. Starting on November 21st, clues will be posted online to help guide children and their families to the hidden Candy Cane Medallion in Wayzata.
The winner will receive the honor of hitting the switch to light the community tree and the town on November 25th at 6 PM with Mayor Mouton!
How to Play
- The first clue will be given on Monday, November 21st at 8:00 a.m. A new clue will be released daily at 8:00 a.m. until the medallion is found!
- Clues can be found the the City of Wayzata Facebook Page, this event page, the Wayzata Chamber Facebook Page and the Wayzata Chamber website.
- The medallion will be hidden on public property in Wayzata.
Medallion Hunt Rules
- At no time should property be damaged. The medallion is hidden in such a way where hunters will not need tools, to dig or to climb. Hunters will not need to put themselves or others in danger. The medallion will also not be hidden in a way where plants or garden beds will need to be trampled or stepped on. Please help keep our public spaces safe and fun for all.
- The medallion will never be hidden in construction zone or on private property.
- The medallion will be outdoors.
If You Find the Medallion
THE MEDALLION WAS FOUND ON 11/24 JUST AFTER 9:00 AM!
If you are lucky enough to find the medallion, take a photo with it and send it to city@wayzata.org AND olaskey@wayzata.org. We will then reach out to coordinate the tree lighting and start celebrating online!
Must be 12 or under to win and a resident of Wayzata.
