Mask Up Wayzata

The City of Wayzata City Council continues discussing the use of masks or face coverings in public places in the community. At this time, the City Council is following the social distancing and face mask guidelines recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Minnesota Department of Health to promote healthy behaviors that reduce the spread of COVID 19.

The CDC advises people to practice social or physical distancing, by staying at least 6 feet (about 2 arms’ length) from other people who are not from your household in both indoor and outdoor spaces. The City is encouraging people to "Mask Up" when a 6 foot separation is not possible or when other protection measures are not in place (sneeze guards).

People should keep their eyes on the City’s website and social media outlets for updates on the use of masks or face coverings in the City of Wayzata.

More information about the CDC’s face mask and social distancing requirements can be found at www.cdc.gov.
