New Lake Street Road Closures

 
Construction of Lake Street is well underway, with new road closures scheduled to take effect today. Learn more from Mayor Ken Willcox and Stahl Construction President Jessie Houlihan in this video update. 

New road closures
Starting today, April 10, Lake Street will be closed between Walker Avenue and Broadway Avenue to allow for pavement removal and the construction of underground utilities, including the water main replacement. Please note that this stretch of road
 
Additionally, eastbound Lake Street will continue to be closed to motorists from Ferndale Road to Barry Avenue, to allow for construction of the trail, sidewalk, and curb along the south side of Lake Street. Westbound Lake Street remains open to motorists in this area.

Phase 2A Detour Map

On Thursday, April 16, an additional portion of Lake Street between Minnetonka Avenue and Walker Avenue will be closed to allow for pavement removal and the construction of underground utilities, including the water main replacement. These road closures will be in place through May.
