Starting yesterday, Lake Street was closed in both directions to motorists between Minnetonka Avenue and Broadway Avenue to allow for pavement removal and the construction of underground utilities. Eastbound Lake Street will continue to be closed to motorists from Ferndale Road to Barry Avenue, to allow for construction of the trail, sidewalk, and curb along the south side of Lake Street. Westbound Lake Street remains open to motorists in this area.
 
Businesses on Lake Street will continue to be accessible to pedestrians, and there is ample parking available at the locations shown on the map below. These detours will be in place through May 5.
