As we move into the month of May, crews continue to make significant progress on the Lake Street construction related to phase one of Panoway on Wayzata Bay.

On May 6, the Lake Street road closure will be extended to Manitoba Avenue. While Lake Street will not be open to vehicles from Broadway Avenue to Manitoba Avenue, pedestrians will still be able to access sidewalks on the north side of the road. Parking is available in the municipal parking lots off of Broadway and Walker avenues. Please follow the posted detour signs and refer to the detour map below. 

Many of you have been coming downtown to enjoy the nice weather, walk along the shoreline, and get takeout from our wonderful restaurants. In addition to following social distancing guidelines, please follow posted detour signs, stay clear of the job site and avoid walking along the railroad. These measures will keep everyone safe.
