This week on Lake Street, crews continued their work on sidewalks, irrigation and street lights. Work on Plaza Park continues to progress as well, with the steel beams for the shade structure installed. The bike path between Barry Avenue and Ferndale Road has been paved as well.

Next week, Lake Street is anticipated to reopen to one-way, westbound traffic from Broadway Avenue to Walker Avenue. All businesses on Lake Street will continue to be accessible to pedestrians, and there is ample parking available on adjacent side streets and at the City's Mill Street parking ramp.

Stay safe

The Lake Street construction job site is fenced to ensure safety. The public is not permitted to enter the site. Use of the railroad corridor is prohibited, and is considered to be trespassing. Please follow the posted detour routes for motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians, which are the safest routes around the construction zone.
