Thank you for your continued patience as crews work quickly and diligently to complete the Lake Street construction project. While some elements of the project have had delays, the contractor was able to make up time in other areas. The project as a whole remains on track and is anticipated to be substantially completed in early September.

Plaza Park is coming together nicely. Work moved inside the restroom facility this week, as crews began working on the two separate restrooms. Additionally, crews continued installing sidewalks, lighting systems, irrigation systems, and the underground lighting and water equipment for the interactive water feature.

Crews will soon shift their focus to installing sod, trees and planting beds, and paving the remaining segments of the bike path.

With one month left of summer, please enjoy our lakefront and businesses safely. Businesses are still accessible during construction, and we encourage you to continue shopping and dining on Lake Street. Don't forget to practice safe social distancing, follow marked detour signs and avoid construction zones.
