Klapprich Park Hockey Rink & Dog Park Repairs
The City has hired a contractor to make repairs to the hockey rink boards this fall. The repairs are expected to be completed during early-November. During this time, the dog park will be closed.
Final Weekend to Drop Off Compost
Drop your collected fallen leaves at the Wayzata compost site, now open weekends, through November 8, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and weekdays from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m (except holidays). Residents are required to unbag all materials and are asked to take empty bags home for reuse or disposal. As a reminder: Only soft-bodied yard waste (such as grass and leaves) is permitted. No brush, stumps, branches, plastic bags, paper bags, etc. will be allowed. City of Wayzata Fall Leaf pick-up is Monday, November 9. Leaves must be in compostable bags and placed curbside by 7 a.m. The bags must state that they meet ASTM D6400 standards for compositing and they are “compostable.” Bags marked “biodegradable” or “degradable” will not work.

Utility Installation is Complete
In July, Universal Services began installing utility lines for Comcast in Wayzata. Currently, they are working along Wayzata Blvd, Gleason Lake Road, and the T.H. 12 North Frontage Road. The utility installation work is complete, however the contractor is still wrapping up restoration of sidewalks and street pavement. They expect to be completely finished in mid-November.
