Public Works UpdateSkating Rinks Will Open When They FreezeThe Parks Department is taking advantage of the recent drop in temperatures to begin preparing the City’s ice rinks for use over the winter months. Klapprich field and Margaret Circle Park were flooded in the past week, however the ice will not be completely frozen until we have consistent freezing day-time temperatures. During the week following the Christmas Holiday, the Parks Department will continue working to prepare the rinks for public use. Signs will be posted to stay off the ice until the rinks are officially opened. We know you are eager to use the rinks but, the more time our staff has to properly prepare the rinks for public use, the better the quality of the ice will be. Thank you in advance for your patience!
