Sign Up to Reduce Waste More than one-third of trash is organic material that could be composted. It’s easy to make a difference in reducing waste and protecting the environment by signing up for organics recycling! In organics recycling, you collect food and compostable items in separate Blue Bags that you place in your trash cart. The Blue Bags are later separated from the trash and sent to a compost site, where they are turned in a nutrient-rich soil amendment. A New Chapter Begins for Panoway One of the bright spots in 2020 was the transformation of Wayzata’s lakefront with the completion of Phase I of Panoway on Wayzata Bay. After nearly a decade of planning, residents finally got to enjoy the benefits of this new and improved connection between Lake Street and Lake Minnetonka. The success of Phase I has galvanized the effort for additional improvements planned as the City of Wayzata and the Wayzata Conservancy work to fulfill the vision of Panoway.

Community DevelopmentDevelopment Application Submitted for an Addition to COV RestaurantA development application has been submitted for a design review for an addition to the COV restaurant at 700 Lake Street East. The approximate 625 square foot, one-story, addition area would be located on the west side of the building, just north of the current main entrance. A bar and surrounding seating would be incorporated into this addition that would be managed by the COV restaurant. Planters and landscaping would be added in around the bar area to buffer the addition from the sidewalk. This project would also require a modification to the existing outdoor sidewalk café permit, right-of-way code text amendment, and encroachment permit. Click Here for More Information
