Wayzata Boulevard Corridor Study Adopted
The Wayzata Boulevard Corridor Study has been completed and adopted by the City Council. The implementation steps of the Study have now been incorporated in the City’s Strategic Plan and Capital Improvement Plan. Some of the significant projects that are planned to be completed in approximately the next three years are:
- Restriping of Central Avenue
- Construction of Broadway Avenue and Superior Avenue intersection improvements
- Coordinate with Hennepin County to improve the east side of Wayzata Boulevard
- Facilitate the redevelopment of the Metro Transit Park & Ride site between Central Avenue and Hwy. 12
- Create a gateway signage plan for the major entrances into Wayzata
- Update Zoning Code
Additional projects that require more coordination and higher costs will be completed in future years.
