The City of Wayzata is excited to announce an Arbor Month celebration, scheduled for Saturday, May 18 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on the Panoway Plaza!

Morning Volunteering for the Annual Dig it Day
Begin the day by checking in at 8:30 a.m. for the annual Dig It Day garden planting! If you are interesting in volunteering, please register ahead of time by visiting wayzata.org/volunteer. No experience needed. Refreshments will be provided!
11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Free Potted Tree Giveaway for Residents
Interested residents are welcome to submit their name to receive 1 of 50 native shade trees to plant on their Wayzata property, to be delivered to their home following the event.
Available species include:
- Autumn Brilliance Serviceberry
- Bur Oak
- Ironwood
- Pagoda Dogwood
- St. Croix American Elm
- Swamp White / Bicolor Oak
Educational Speaker
Guest arborist and long-term partner of the City of Wayzata, Manuel Jordan, will be leading a presentation highlighting Wayzata’s tree canopy and how we can make it more resilient.
Visit with Wayzata’s City Forester Bennett Myhran
Wayzata’s City Forester, will be available for questions and conversation. Materials on insect and disease invasions will be available along with information on how to properly plant trees.
