Celebrate the Grand Opening of the Panoway Lakewalk and Docks on July 13The Panoway Lakewalk and Docks have been gradually opening for use and now it is time to celebrate! Join us on July 13 from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. to celebrate the grand opening of the Panoway Lakewalk and Docks! A formal ceremony will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Panoway Plaza followed by a ceremonial “first walk” on the Lakewalk. Other activities will begin at noon and will include food, music, boat rides, art, project walking tour and more! Stay tuned for more details at wayzata.org. New Docks Will Have Paid Parking System - Residents Park Free! The brand-new Broadway and Depot Docks are open and will now have a paid parking system. The boat parking payment system will help offset costs associated with the new community docks such as the cost for dockmasters and general maintenance. In addition, payment will only be required for non-resident users, which will diversify City revenue to help alleviate costs to Wayzata residents. The Dock Design Working Group, Panoway District Committee, and City staff reviewed various options of a parking payment system and ultimately recommended the approved system to the City Council.
