A Message from Mayor Mullin

Hello Neighbors,

With the onset of warmer weather, the City of Wayzata anticipates increased activity throughout the community and especially in our downtown. Maintaining public safety is a top priority, and we are implementing several proactive measures:

Enhanced Police Staffing

The Wayzata Police Department is augmenting its staff to provide a more robust presence on our streets.

Mill Street Parking Ramp Access Control

Construction of a gate at the top floor of the Mill Street Parking ramp is underway to limit vehicle access during nighttime hours, thereby improving security.

E-Bike Operational Safety

The City Council is evaluating a potential ordinance designed to enhance safety standards for the operation of E-bikes within city limits.

Increased Violation Penalties

Fines and penalties associated with Excessive Noise and Exhibition Driving violations are being increased to deter disruptive behavior.

The City is committed to ensuring Wayzata remains a safe and welcoming environment as we enter the busier seasons.
