A Message From the Mayor Summer’s here, and we hope you’re enjoying all Wayzata and the greater Lake Minnetonka area have to offer! As our community thrives, the City of Wayzata is also navigating a carefully managed leadership transition. Our City Manager, Jeff Dahl, has accepted a new role as Woodbury’s City Administrator. We’re incredibly grateful for his exemplary service to Wayzata. In the interim, Public Works Director Mike Kelly is serving as Interim City Manager, as Deputy City Manager Aurora Yager is on leave until fall. The Wayzata City Council will soon begin a broad search for a new City Manager. Additionally, Council Member Jeff Parkhill is planning on stepping down from his seat on October 1, as his spouse has a new job out of state. His last meeting will be at the end of September. Ultimately, the Council will then appoint someone to fill the remainder of Jeff Parkhill’s term through 2026. Despite these changes, our commitment to ensuring the city runs smoothly, services are delivered efficiently, and residents and businesses feel supported remains unwavering. We’re dedicated to a thoughtful and transparent process for continued stability and effective leadership. We’ll keep you informed every step of the way, so please don’t hesitate to contact me directly with any questions. Click here to read the July Portal Newsletter
