Public Art Committee
Overview
A Public Art Steering Committee (PASC) was formed in 2024 to determine if a longstanding Public Art Committee should be created for Wayzata. The PASC recommended that a longstanding committee should be formed, which the City Council approved to begin in 2025.
The City of Wayzata created a Public Art Committee to advise the City of Wayzata on advancing a cohesive, elegant, and community-rooted public art program that enhances the City’s identity, quality of life, and cultural vibrancy. The Committee shall support art that is timeless and reflective of Wayzata’s unique character, emphasizing walkability, discoverability, and the integration of public art with the City's history, natural features, and community values.
Applications for the Public Art Committee will be open this fall! Stay tuned online, on Facebook, and in the Wayzata Weekly Email.
